Dr. Russell graduated from East Carolina University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology; he also minored in Psychology. His post-graduate work was completed in 1989 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He and his wife, Vicky, are members of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and have three children. Dr. Russell is also a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Dr. Russell has been in private practice since 1989. Upon graduation, he began practicing in Burlington, NC, and then he came back home to Winston-Salem in 1994. He taught dental assisting at Alamance Community College from 1990-1992. Our practice has kept up with the latest in dentistry through continuing education courses in everything from OSHA and Infectious Control to Esthetics, Periodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Pathology, Implants, CAD-CAM Technology, and Same-Day Dentistry for Crowns and Onlays. We also have the latest in digital technology throughout the office.
